Practice Owner & Clinical Director Specialist in Periodontology & Implantologist

Specialist in Periodontology(72111)
Dr. Manish Bose became the owner of the practice in 2011. He qualified as a dentist from Manchester University in 1996 and worked as a general dentist for a few years. He then worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for 3 years, during which period he passed his Diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons. This afforded him the opportunity to commence a 3 year Specialist training program in Periodontology at University College London/Eastman Dental Institute.
He passed with a distinction and became an accredited member of the European Federation of Periodontology. He also passed the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) with the Royal College of Surgeons England, which entitled him to be on the Specialist Register with the General Dental Council. He then worked as a fulltime lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Bristol Dental Hospital.
Dr. Bose has built up his Specialist private practice where he focuses his time on helping patients who have suffered in extensive gum disease. He has helped thousands of patients over the last 20 years with the use of dental implants, improving their everyday lives. He is passionate about implementing digital dental technology to enhance patients' journeys and greatly improve treatment outcomes.
Specialist in Periodontics Registration Pending (244932)

Dr. Worrall qualified from the University of Manchester in 2014. She further developed her clinical knowledge and surgical skills in the Maxillofacial department of the Royal Surrey County Hospital. Here she received formal training in basic and complex surgical techniques in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Following this, she completed two further years at Great Ormond Street Hospital, training in paediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery, where she advanced her passion for meticulous soft tissue and bone augmentation surgery. Her interest in oral health and surgery in the mouth led her to embark on speciality training in Periodontology at the Royal London Dental Hospital. She has successfully gained a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Periodontics.
Dr. Worrall's special interests include both surgical and non-surgical techniques in the treatment and stabilisation of periodontitis. She is dedicated to giving patients the latest evidence-based care to improve their oral health and helping patients preserve their teeth and healthy gums. She is happy to provide periodontal surgery for patients including, hard and soft tissue regeneration and perio-plastics. She is also able to provide placement of dental implants and treatment of peri-implantitis.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Worrall loves to travel, trying different international cuisines and at home enjoys learning new recipes and cooking techniques.
Specialist in Orthodontics (228179)

Dr. Xavier studied Dentistry at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He completed a postgraduate diploma in Orthodontics and an MSc in Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the same institution. In 2007 he commenced his PhD at King's College London, sponsored by two prestigious awards (ALBAN and ORSAS). In 2013, following one year of dental foundation training in the UK, he was appointed as an Academic Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics at King's College London, splitting his time between research and further clinical training in Orthodontics.
His research led to several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and his findings have been presented both abroad and throughout the UK. He qualified with a distinction in his Master of Science in Orthodontics from King's College London and was awarded the Professor Philip Walther Prize for the most outstanding performance. He also attained a Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) with The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Following completion of his specialist training, he pursued further training at consultant level for three years before focusing solely on private orthodontic practice.

Dr. Schirru qualified as a dentist in Italy (Universita degli Studi di Cagliari) with Honours. After a year of general practice, he decided to gain more knowledge in Endodontics, enrolling onto a Masters Degree in Clinical Endodontology (Italy). Following the completion of the degree, he then moved to the UK to specialise in Endodontology. He trained for 3 years at King’s College London (MClinDent), completing the course with distinction. At the same time he became member of the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh (MEndo RCS).Elia is registered as specialist endodontist with the General Dental council.
Dr. Schirru is author and co-author of peer-reviewed scientific papers in the endodontic field. He collaborated to several international projects in Italy, USA and the UK.He teaches Endodontology to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Guy’s Hospital (King’s College London).

Dr. Eial Makori, has worked as a private cosmetic dentist for 20 years and has built a reputation for creating beautiful natural-looking smiles.
Dr. Makori qualified top of his class from the Wits Dental School in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1997, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery before relocating to the UK. For the past 18 years. he has worked alongside specialists in multi-disciplinary practices, prescribing, carrying out and overseeing every stage of the patient's treatment journey
Dr. Makori's passion lies in dental rehabilitation. He has vast experience in restoring heavily broken-down dentition to a healthy, natural-looking functional smile. For the past 7 years he has worked as the lead practitioner in the advanced Smile in a Day, same-day dental implant treatments at various clinics, changing the lives of hundreds of patients.
Dr. Makori takes a conservative, caring approach, where possible, eliminating the need for crowns or more invasive treatment options. He has completed extensive implant and cosmetic dental courses and continues to invest in on-going education. He is also skilled in facial aesthetics.
Specialist Oral Surgeon (72617)

Dr. Yvonna Szyszko is a recognised GDC specialist in oral surgery and can provide all aspects or oral surgery as well as implants and facial aesthetic treatments.
Yvonna qualified at Guy’s Hospital, London, in 1996. Since then, she has worked in hospital oral surgery departments and as a lecturer in oral surgery and anatomy demonstrator at the University of Sydney. Yvonna now works in a hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit as well as working as an oral surgeon in practice. She is actively involved in postgraduate examining for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Scotland. She currently serves as Chair for the Membership of Oral Surgery postgraduate tri collegiate exam.
She has completed many courses including forensic dentistry, life support and trauma, SAAD course in sedation and facial aesthetics courses. In 2011, she was awarded an MSc in Implant Dentistry from Warwick University. Her specialist project was on Pain Management following Implant Placement.
Yvonna undertakes all aspects of oral surgery, including wisdom tooth extractions, impacted canine tooth removal/ exposure, biopsies, implant placement and sinus lifts with bone grafting. She also performs antiwrinkle treatments and collagen injections.

Dr. Fiona Grainger graduated from Guys Hospital, London, in 2002 and completed her vocational training at a general practice on the Wirral. Since graduating, Dr. Grainger has been committed to providing high-quality dental care for the whole family, utilising minimally invasive techniques. She is particularly experienced in helping patients who are anxious or have dental phobias and has had considerable success in this area with children.
Dr. Grainger enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including root canal treatment and cosmetic procedures, such as whitening and composite bonding and regularly attends courses to ensure that she remains abreast with the latest developments in dentistry.
Dr. Grainger lives locally and is a mother of two boys.

Dr. Joe Bansal qualified in 2003 from the Royal London Dental Hospital and from very early on in his career, he set his path on wanting to provide his patients with the highest quality care in Aesthetic Dentistry. This has lead him to many travels to the USA, Europe and UK to further his knowledge and skills with leaders in this field.
For the last 11 years, Dr. Bansal has been working in highly respected Central London clinics delivering beautiful smiles whilst working with teams of Specialists like we have at IKON Dental. He also regularly teaches other dentists about Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Joe Bansal recently joined the team at IKON Dental in 2023. He brings with him a wealth of expertise in creating beautiful smiles using a multitude of different techniques such as Composite Bonding, Porcelain Veneers and Invisalign. He qualified at the Royal London Dental School in 2003 after which, he went on to widen his knowledge and skills in both the UK and abroad to help provide his patients with the best possible results.
He has been working as part of a Multidiscilplinary Specialist Dental team for a number of years and is able to help orchestrate all manner of complex cases alongside the dental specialists to provide a seamless journey from start to finish. He will often be one of the first dentists to see the patient when they undergo a comprehensive dental assessment to establish both their functional and aesthetic needs. Once the plan is jointly discussed and finalised with the patient, they will see the relevant Specialists to help set up the case for when the patient will return back to see Dr. Joe Bansal who will then finalise the case with aesthetic restorative aspects.
He strongly believes in co-diagnosis and co-discovery with the patient to help them to understand their dental problems and how they may have arisen and how they are able to resolve them with us at IKON Dental.
Speciality Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (265371)

Dr. Shradha Patel qualified from Birmingham Dental School with a distinction in clinical dentistry and has always strived to complete excellent dentistry. Her calm, empathetic and thorough approach has gained her a loyal following with patients.
Dr. Patel is currently working part-time in a hospital as a speciality dentist in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She is a gentle and diligent surgeon with the ability to perform simple to complicated extractions. Dr. Patel also works part-time in practice where she is involved with the training of dentists under Health Education England.
Dr. Patel is particularly excellent with anxious patients and has an extremely comforting and relaxing chair-side manner. She has gained a Postgraduate Certificate and Masters in Dental Implantology and is able to surgically place and restore dental implants.
She has presented nationally within the dental profession and published papers. She has been nominated for a number of prizes and won case presentation prizes during her career.

She recently completed training in airflow technology in periodontal and implant maintenance. Pam has worked in specialist and periodontal implant practices for 20 years and takes a holistic approach to her patients, ensuring the best care.
Pamela enjoys spending time with her son and daughter and their families.
